With a flood of personal development books out on the market, from everything from just making your bed to manifesting all the money in the world – WHERE DO YOU START?
You will know I am a devoted reader of Personal Development and Business strategy books, and struggle to read fiction if I’m being honest, and it is with that love of books that I have decided to start doing a monthly Book Haul review for you on the blog and over on my Youtube Channel.
Why read Non-fiction?
Personal Development, working on ourselves in our spare time, is a life changing habit.
You can read all about how you can start your own Personal Development journey here of course.
Give yourself 15 minutes to change your mindset
I commit to at least 15 minutes a day or listening to an Audiobook or reading, and truly has changed my life.
If you are not a great reader, I love Audible to be able to pick up great books on the go and turn that car journey into an education experience.
Audible offer between 1 and 3 months free trial (1-3 free books!) depending on if you are a Prime member or not, so the perfect excuse to give audiobooks a go.
You can start your trial through this link, which is an affiliate link below, but I believe in this product so much I wouldn’t recommend it otherwise.

Tony Robbins, without doubt, is one of those people I look up to for his inspirational strategies and life changing systems for mindset.
This past month, I have gone back to some books that really have the power to change my thinking and this book has been loved and read a few times in past years, but I felt inspired to pick it up again and take my time to enjoy it once more.
In this book, he shares the key strategies and his experience that allows you to take control of your financial, business and life success – using such techniques as NLP and visualisation.
A good solid book, that I return to with a highlighter and notepad for notes every time, that I truly love and know you will to.
Thinking Into Results – Leadership Program by Bob Proctor
This book is part of a leadership and mentoring program I have committed myself to for the next year ahead, to really develop my skills and training to help myself and others.
Bob Proctor is one of the world’s most successful business mentors and through this textbook and course he breaks down the fundamental 12 areas of mindset and understanding that allow you to break from past thinking and move to where you want to be.
I’m excited to be part of this course, not available on Amazon, but you can find more information on local Thinking Into Results coaches leading local programs.
Since its first publication in 1960, Maltz’s landmark bestseller has inspired and enhanced the lives of more than 30 million readers, with it being a classic work on the human potential and original science of self-improvement.
I first heard about this book via my course work with the Thinking into Results Program, as commented as one of the original and still best regarded textbooks on the subject of human potential – and it really did not let me down!
I loved this book, broken down into very easy to understand concept and terms, and one that I believe I will continue to read time and time again.
Another older book from the 1960s, Catherine Ponder has been inspiring and helping people from all walks of life overcome personal and financial hardships through her worldwide spiritual ministry and prosperity books.
This is a collection of over 100 powerful quotes and affirmations presented in a random format that allows everyone the opportunity to plant a new seed and receive the spark it takes to make bold changes.
I personally love to use this book during my Morning routine to start my day with positive thoughts and feelings, and would make a wonderful gift for someone looking to have a little moment of joy each day to start or end it.
Wonderful book, and thoroughly recommend Catherine’s other books if you enjoy this simple collection.
