ProjectJoy App Logo“Project Joy 40″ is a 40-day challenge designed around Seven Life-affirming habits inspired by biblical wisdom. Each habit nurtures a different area of your life — physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual — to help you build a foundation of lasting well-being and faith-filled living.

This challenge was developed by myself after recovering from major traumatic events in my life that required me to completely re-think and focus on what I needed to do to become the best version of myself for my future.  I took all my knowledge on health and well-being from the Bible and also the best regarded books in the world, and that is when Project Joy came into existence.  I know this 40 day challenge works as I have lived it and continue to enjoy it.

You can do the challenge on your own, in a group or even build a community doing it at the same start and end date – the choice is yours!

🙌 The 7 Habits of Project Joy 40

  1. Giving – Practice generosity daily, sharing kindness, time, or resources with others. Giving strengthens compassion and reminds us that true joy comes from serving.  It could be that you decide to give financially or with your time or with your talents.  The challenge though is built on the life changing habits from the Bible therefore there is encouragement to make financial giving part of this 40 days even in small amounts.

  2. Learn & Grow – Dedicate time each day to spiritual or personal growth — whether that’s reading Scripture, listening to a sermon, or learning something new that enriches your mind and faith.  You also can decide you want to learn a new skill or hobby – the learning part is up to you and the length of time dedicated to it each day too.

  3. Move – Care for the body God gave you by staying active. Movement enhances physical health and uplifts your spirit.

  4. Create – Tap into your God-given creativity. Whether it’s art, music, cooking, or problem-solving, creating brings you closer to the Creator.

  5. Quality In & Out – Focus on what you allow into your body and mind. Nourish yourself with wholesome food, uplifting thoughts, and positive influences.

  6. Gratitude – Reflecting on your blessings with prayers and thanksgiving as part of the challenge. Gratitude shifts your focus from what’s missing to what’s meaningful.

  7. Rest – Every seventh day, pause and rest. Just as God rested on the Seventh day, you’re invited to recharge — physically, mentally, and spiritually.  This principle is straight from the Bible and works to restore you physically and mentally for the rest of the challenge and your week ahead.  You can choose to make it a Sunday or any day you wish in the week, as long as you take the rest.

🗓️ How the 40-Day Challenge Works

For Six days each week, you’ll commit to practicing the first Six habits — giving, learning, moving, creating, choosing quality, and expressing gratitude.

Then, on the Seventh day, you’ll practice the final habit — Rest — allowing your body and soul to rejuvenate.

Over 40 days, these small, consistent actions build powerful change — helping you cultivate joy that lasts well beyond the challenge.
