Our family lives on a modest food budget right now of approximately £40-50 per week, which includes feeding two cats and three hungry tummies.
When the weather is cold and windy like today, I am reminded that there are families right on our doorstep in Glasgow that have less than they want to fulfil the basics – such as a warm place to stay and food on the table.
Today as part of our Family Kindness task we were asked to Sponsor Something, and so our family have donated some of our monthly food shopping budget to help Feed & provide Support Services to 1 homeless person living in Glasgow this Christmas month, through the work of Glasgow City Mission.
Such a small act, but when in life we have food on the table, somewhere warm to live and much more, hopefully our efforts can help in some small way.
