Review: Pizza Hut Silverburn with new Glasgow Menu #pizzahut

With the Christmas holiday season approaching, what better way to take a few minutes together as a family and enjoy a family dining out experience that is just exactly what you all love.

We were honoured to be asked to visit our local Pizza Hut this week, to sample the menu and check out their “Glasgow-inspired” menu. Now we are not talking about Irn Bru pizza or Tunnock Tea cake starters here – but simply Pizza Hut had turned the language and layout of the new menu into Glasgow slang friendly.  It was wonderful and we loved reading all the descriptions!  Even my London-born husband thoroughly enjoyed seeing how they would describe each pizza even down to the usual Margarita!

Pizza Hut is bright and fresh, with good comfortable family size tables and booths.  What pleased me most was they offered unlimited salad for all of us – and with a 18 month toddler in our family, this meant I could get him some fruit & salad to tide him over until the starters arrived.  Perfect thinking.  Drinks are unlimited soft drinks as well, with fruit options for little ones – again smart thinking Pizza Hut – as this makes sure you are not out of a fortune for your family meal out.

The Staff and Manager of Pizza Hut Silverburn from the minute we got there were attentive to us, making sure we knew exactly how long we would have to wait, and made sure everyone was enjoying their meal.  Although this was the weekend before Christmas, and the shopping centre was jam packed – the staff made us feel as if we were the only ones in the whole restaurant.  Truly relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable experience.

We have dined at Pizza Hut before, and the standard of pizza and sides are always lovely but our absolute treat of the day was the Sharing Cookie for pudding between the 3 of us (although I could have eaten a whole one due to it’s yummy nature).

Overall, everyone of us was well-fed, watered, and most of all we got time together in a relaxed environment as a family.  Price for the three of us with 2 starters, 2 large pizzas, 1 sharing pudding and 2 unlimited drinks was just under £35, due to Pizza Hut’s Christmas Dining Deals that day.  Value like that is hard to find when you are feeding more than 1 mouth these days.

Well done Pizza Hut Silverburn, and we will be back for more!

Love (a very full but happy) MFF xx
